'CAUSE WE LOVE BUBBLE GUMS
I did this photo shoot back in May 2014 with my baby girl Tukan. Basically the idea behind the whole photo shoot was to bring back temporary tattoos hidden inside of bubble gums that we used to buy when we were younger. I still rember how cool I felt when my mom bought me one of those. I got that feeling like it's a real tattoo. I was a cool kid... damn.
Me and Tukan we had to eat like 30 to 40 gums to get those bitches out and it was quite painful but fun (try to chew 20 gums at once - not funny at all... actually it is lol).
So after more than an hour and half we were ready to shoot! So we did.
Let me just say that this is one of the prettiest girls I know. <3

SOCIALISM part I
A month ago I met my friend Simona. We were just chatting about photoshoots and what we could do together. She came up with some very interesting ideas and I immediately fell for one of them. It was socialism.
Socialism as a social and econic system is already behind us but when you visit houses and flats of your parents/grandparents you can still smell relics of the system. And that's what we did.
I did the photoshoot with two fashion bloggers Simona and Iveta. And we had the best time together.

The place Sima chose was just amazing. Old, raw, full of spiders and dirty as fuck a.k.a. garden cottage. The right place for arachnophobists like me and Sima.
What I find really cool about this garden-cottage-experience is that I was able to look through 20 year old newspapers, old recordings, toys, clothes and things that actually meant something to somebody so many years ago and they haven't been touched for years because nobody cares about them anymore. They're just lying there...as a part of the history. People don't use them but they also won't throw them away maybe because these things have their own timeless value.

Lomo verzus digitálna zrkadlovka? / Lomo or a digital camera?
Vidíme to všade okolo seba.
A keď nafotíte, stále neviete, čo ste vlastne odfotili. Bude tam dosť svetla? Zaostril som to dobre?
We're living in an era where photographers are becoming more editors of photography than ever. We can see it all around us. Billboards, magazines, covers, TV, videos, books, internet basically everywhere. The image is clear, smooth and without any deepness. It grabs our attention for few seconds (at max) and then we immediately forget what we just saw because it's uninteresting it's not unique it's just another retouched pic.
I'm not saying we should stop using editing softwares like Photoshop not at all! I enjoy it. I love to create things in Photoshop. I love how you can bring out your own vision of beauty through the Photoshop but sometimes I've got a feeling that people don't know when is the right time to "Merge Layers" and "Save As".
In Jun 2013 I bought a present for myself - an old-fashioned camera. I went to an e-shop and bought Lomo Lubitel 166+. I decided to buy the camera because I felt like my "digital" view on photography kinda loose its beauty. I felt like I'm not creative enough and my ideas were just bland. It was the right time to change something and to expand my capabilities so I turned to basics of photography.
I realized making a photo is much harder (and exciting) task to do than I thought it is. You can't make 300 shots and hope that some of them will be awesome. In this case you have to think twice (I usually think at least 5 times lol - Is it gonna be sharp enough? What about ISO? Is it the right angle? Etc.) before you actually shoot a picture because sometimes there're only 15 shots which you can get out of one camera film. Everything is manual.
It's an incredible experience and such an exciting (if you screwed up not as exciting) feeling when you finally see your pictures. They're different than digital pictures. These pictures have depth, an old noise, imperfections that make them perfect and sometimes even timeless.

Tieto fotky som nafotil v Decembri minulého roku, spolu s mojou dlhoročnou kamarátkou Zuzkou. Jedno studené upršané ráno sme sa odviezli autom do Demänovskej doliny a po vyfajčení dvoch cigariet sme zablúdili ku jazeru v strede lesa. Bola neskutočná zima a fúkal veľmi nepríjemný horský vietor.
I shot these pictures in December 2013 along with a friend of mine Zuzka. During one cold and rainy morning I took my dad's car and we drove to Demänovská Dolina and after we smoked 2 cigarettes we got lost in a forrest where we found a beautiful calm lake. It was freezing outside and the wind was extremely cold.
Bolo to zvláštne...veľmi tiché, a tak mrazivo pekné.
It was weird...quit and so frostily beautiful.
In this picture you can see how I forgot to roll the film so actually you're looking at 2 pictures in one.

Skúste porovnať fotografie z Lomo Lubitel a zo zrkadlovky. Čo si o tom myslíte? Ktoré sa Vám osobne viac páčia? Môžete mi nechať Váš koment pod článkom. Ďakujem :)
During this photo shoot I also used my digital camera. Pictures below are taken with it. What do you think? Do you prefer pictures taken with Lomo Lubitel or with my digital camera? Leave your comment below. Thank you :)
